Glassmaking Workshop Sessions

from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm

Stourbridge Glassblowing Studio runs group classes (taster sessions) for a maximum of four adults over 16 years of age. Cost £50 per person.

The classes are intended as an introduction to glass-making. Covering both blown glass and solid-formed glass processes. The classes will be informative and hands-on in a friendly/relaxed way. Each student will take away a piece that they have made themselves.
There will be two classes during the day.

The first classes are scheduled to run on Sunday 26 June, with extra dates to be confirmed. These will be held in the Stourbridge Glassblowing Studio situated within the Ruskin Glass Centre and run from 9.30am to 1.00pm and 1.30pm to 5.00pm.

To book, please call 07763 385 578 or email info@ianbamforthglass.com for confirmation as each day must be fully booked in order to proceed. Advance payment is essential to guarantee places. This can be made by cheque or cash. Please note that classes can only run if all places are filled. So should you need to cancel, a refund can only be given if the place can be filled from our waiting list.

Glass-blowing is physically demanding and working with hot glass (in excess of 1100˚C) is potentially dangerous. This said, Health and Safety is vitally important and will be explained along with the use of tools and equipment. If you have a disability or medical condition which may limit your capacity to participate, please discuss this with us before you book. We reserve the right to advise you not to take part in the session if we feel it may compromise yourself or others safety.
